STEM Educator - Secondary


Hunter Christian School is a caring school community that places high value in our students being able to learn without limits. We’re looking for an innovative STEM teacher who can teach using project-based pedagogy, providing challenge and engagement to students of all abilities. A commitment to the daily support and pastoral care of a small group of students is also a vital aspect of this role. While primarily a STEM position, the ability to teach Geography would be an advantage.

Applicants should be:

  • Experienced and/ or qualified in delivering STEM courses;
  • Committed Christians, actively involved in a local evangelical church;
  • Committed to the vision of Christian schooling;
  • Able to foster strong, healthy rapport with students from a variety of backgrounds;
  • Able to function well as a member of a team, demonstrating initiative and communication skills;
  • Well organised; and
  • Prepared to make contributions to the extra-curricular life of the school.


This is a full-time 1.0 FTE position to commence Term 1, 2019 and award wages and conditions apply. Employment screening for working with children is mandatory.

Primary Teachers – 2 Positions

Hunter Christian School is a caring school community that places high value in our students being able to learn without limits. We’re looking for two innovative Primary teachers who exhibit a strong desire to provide quality teaching and be passionate about developing great learning opportunities.

A commitment to the daily support and pastoral care of students is also a vital aspect of this role.

  • Committed Christians, actively involved in a local evangelical church;
  • Committed to the vision of Christian schooling;
  • Able to foster strong, healthy rapport with students from a variety of backgrounds;
  • Able to function well as a member of a team, demonstrating initiative and communication skills as well as effectively collaborating with colleagues;
  • Well organised; and
  • Prepared to make contributions to the extra-curricular life of the school.
