Hunter Christian School is a small and caring school community that has set itself the ambitious goal of a renewed vision and approach to education. Following the appointment of our current Head of Secondary as Principal for 2018 and a subsequent restructuring of a number of faculty positions K-12 we are in need of suitable educators who can join our teaching team in 2018. We have vacancies in the following areas:



Head of Secondary


The position involves overall leadership of the Secondary Department of the School. It requires a candidate with a clear vision for Christian Education, high levels of educational qualifications and experience, demonstrated servant leadership, administrative excellence and proven interpersonal and communicative skills in working with students, parents and staff. Appointment to commence either at the start of Term 1 or Term 3 2018. Please contact the PA to the Principal for an Information Pack.


K-12 Studies Coordinator


This can be combined with any of the following teaching positions. The role involves coordinating compliance with NESA requirements in curriculum programming, assessment and reporting in addition to coordination of NAPLAN and HSC examinations.


STEM Faculty Head


This position requires the coordination and leadership of teachers working in the fields of Science, Technology and Mathematics.


Educational Physicist (Part-Time)


This position requires the ability to teach Science and Physics. The ability to teach Mathematics and STEM would be an advantage.


Social Scientist (Part-Time)


This position requires the ability to teach Business Studies and Commerce. The ability to teach Legal Studies and Geography would be an advantage.
